    Terms for Mentors

    These Terms for Mentors (“Mentor Terms”) govern your participation on the Collegon platform (the “Platform”) platform (the “Platform”) as a mentor. By claiming a Mentor page and maintaining a mentor profile, you agree to comply with these Terms in addition to our User Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform as a mentor.

    1. Eligibility to Be a Mentor

    To claim a mentor on Collegon, you must: · Be that mentor · Have the affiliation email address We reserve the right to verify your credentials and decline or remove your mentor profile if eligibility is not met.

    2. Your Responsibilities as a Mentor

    a. Profile Accuracy
    You are responsible for ensuring that all content associated with your mentor profile, including your:
    · Overview
    · Research
    · Publications
    · News
    · Job opportunity
    ...is accurate, honest, and kept up to date.
    b. Recruitment and Opportunities
    When posting job opportunities (e.g., graduate openings, internships), you agree that:
    · All positions listed are genuine and not misleading
    · The opportunities comply with relevant academic and labor regulations
    c. Respect for Student Users
    Mentors must uphold a professional and respectful tone in all interactions with students, prospective mentees, and users on the platform.

    3. Reviews and Evaluations by Students

    Collegon allows current and former students to evaluate and rate mentors based on academic and interpersonal criteria (e.g., mentorship quality, respect, life-work balance, approachability, etc.).
    You acknowledge and agree that:
    · You may receive public feedback, ratings, and comments
    · Collegon will not censor or remove reviews unless they violate our Community Guidelines or are demonstrably false or abusive
    · You will not retaliate against students for their reviews on the platform or elsewhere
    You may respond to reviews publicly and respectfully if you believe a comment misrepresents your mentorship.

    4. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

    You retain ownership of your posted content (e.g., research summaries, lab descriptions). However, by submitting content to the Platform, you grant Collegon a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute the content for purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform.

    5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

    Collegon provides a platform for connecting mentors and students, but we are not responsible for:
    · The outcome of mentorship or recruitment relationships
    · Disagreements between users and mentors
    · Academic, employment, or visa decisions based on platform content
    The Platform is provided “as-is” and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

    6. Modifications to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to mentors via email or through notifications on the Platform.
    Continued use of your mentor profile after changes have been posted indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
