User Agreement

Welcome to Collegon (the “Platform”), operated by Graduate Niche LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Platform, you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this User Agreement (“Agreement”).
Please read this Agreement carefully before using the Platform. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

By using Collegon, you represent that:
· You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction to provide digital consent).
· If under 18, you have the consent of a parent or guardian.
· You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for a user account.
You agree to:
· Provide accurate information during registration.
· Keep your login credentials secure.
· Be responsible for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe any information provided is false, misleading, or violates this Agreement.

3. Platform Purpose

Collegon is a community-driven academic platform designed to:
· Connect students, alumni, and professionals globally.
· Facilitate mentor evaluation and discovery.
· Share academic and lifestyle experiences.
· Support peer learning, job discovery, and research collaboration.
All content and services are intended for educational and professional development purposes only.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:
· Post or share false, defamatory, offensive, obscene, or unlawful content.
· Harass, intimidate, or impersonate others.
· Infringe on any intellectual property or privacy rights.
· Promote commercial advertisements without permission.
· Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its users’ data.
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access that violates these rules.

5. Mentor Evaluations and Reviews

Users may submit reviews and ratings of academic mentors. By posting reviews, you agree that:
· Your feedback is truthful and based on your direct experience.
· You will not post malicious, exaggerated, or discriminatory content.
We do not endorse or verify individual user reviews and are not liable for content posted by users. However, we reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews in violation of our policies.

6. User-Generated Content

Collegon offers interactive features—including forums, reviews, surveys, and other contribution tools—that allow users to submit, post, or share content (“User Content”) on the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, written reviews, ratings, comments, messages, images, and other materials.
By submitting or posting any User Content to Collegon, you grant us and our affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, translate, and create derivative works from that content, in any format and on any media, whether now known or developed in the future. This license allows us to use your content for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, platform development, and promotional activities.
You understand and agree with that:
· Collegon does not pre-screen or actively monitor all User Content and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of such content.
· The views and opinions expressed in User Content belong solely to the users who created them and do not reflect the views of Collegon.
· You are solely responsible for the content you post or upload, and you represent that you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to grant us the license described above.
We act solely as a passive platform for the distribution of User Content and do not assume liability for any user-submitted material. However, we reserve the right (but are not obligated) to review, remove, or moderate any content that violates our Community Guidelines, Terms of Use, or applicable laws.
Collegon encourages open, honest experiences related to academia, campus life, housing, mentors, and other topics of interest. However, we do not guarantee that all content will remain published, and we do not permit content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
If you believe any User Content violates our policies or your rights, you may report it by clicking the “Report” link (where available) or by contacting us at admin@collegon.com.
By posting User Content, you also agree to waive any moral rights or similar rights of authorship you may hold in that content, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our [Privacy Policy] for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources (e.g., campus businesses, external job listings). We do not control or endorse these third-party services and are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate any user account that violates this Agreement or harms the community.
Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ends immediately, but some content (e.g., mentor reviews) may remain available for transparency purposes.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee:
· Accuracy or completeness of user-submitted content.
· Uninterrupted access or performance of the Platform.
· Outcomes from using the Platform (e.g., getting accepted to a program, job placement).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:
· Loss of data or content
· Academic or career consequences
· Misuse of content by other users

12. Modifications to the Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will notify users via the Platform or email when material changes are made. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15. Entire Agreement
