Anhui University is located in the historical and cultural city of Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, known as the "hometown of the Three Kingdoms, the hometown of Bao Zheng, the first county of the Jianghuai River, and the hub of Wu and Chu". The school is one of the first universities to be included in the national "Double First Class" and "211 Project" construction. It is a jointly built university by the People's Government of Anhui Province and the Ministry of Education, and is a key comprehensive university under Anhui Province.
